Julie Elliott, Senior Stylist at Studio 2 in Coltsfoot Drive was recently awarded this prestigious title at the very first Hair and Beauty Awards sponsored by etc Magazine.

Pitching against the very best hairdressing talent in Sussex, Julie inspired the judges who recognised her technical ability, innovative flair and high levels of client delight.

Commenting on her success Julie said, “I’m so thrilled to have won this award. Each day in the salon is a rewarding experience as you are helping people to look and feel great but being recognised in this way is the icing on the cake.”

Julie (or Jules as she is known in the salon) joined Studio 2 in 2006 and has established herself as a highly respected member of the style team. She also heads up the salon’s training academy. In addition to her hairdressing talents Julie has been an active fundraiser for many of the salons charity projects. This month she organised the salon’s most bold initiative ever with the launch of a brand new calendar in support of St Catherine’s Hospice.

The calendar is Studio2’s take on ‘Calendar Girls’, the film made famous by Julie Walters, Helen Mirren and Celia (“we’re going to need bigger buns”) Imrie and features photographs of the team in tasteful yet revealing poses.
